How to use the shotgun
The best shotgun users carry nothing but their shotgun and some extra ammo. There are 3 sorts of shotguns: the Winchester, the Remmington and the Super Shorty (SS).
The Winchester has 2 bullets in it, the Remmy has 6 and the SS has 3. The Winchester is the only one that has a secondary attack, when you press right mouse button you will fire both shots at once.
How to put it to its best use
Because shotguns are rather light, you are enabled to stay very fast and swift. So we advise you to drop everything else beside the shotgun itself and some extra ammo. When you encounter a zombie, you can just walk backwards while firing rounds into the zombie’s face. The zombie will not be able to get to you while you just deal damage. Believe me, this can become very frustrating for the zombies. So stay in open places, this way you can keep a distance between you and the zombies, and they will have a very hard time to actually ever get to you.
What you don’t want to do with a shotgun
We advise you to stay away from small and darkened areas. Shotguns are not very safe in these places. Since they do hardly any pushback, you are not abled (as with the rifle) to shoot a zombie away from you.
Therefor, make use of the extreme damage the shotgun can deal from short range. A good hit to the head from short range might get you an instant kill, it is definatly possible. But this weapon comes to its best uses when you are in a big and open area. Make use of your swiftness to bring down your enemies.

Ammo type = very small red/black boxes. Contain 8 bullets
Max. carry = 24 shells total + 2/3/6 in the shotgun (depending on the kind of shotgun)
