The Headshot

When you only just started playing Zombie Panic, you’ll notice that your having a hard time shooting the zombies nice and fast. That’s part of the game. In ZP:S it takes time to get skilled in shooting the zombies as much in the head as possible. Keep in mind, this can make the difference between staying alive and going down. So how do you kill a zombie with a few pistol bullets?

The basics

The most important thing to do, to headshot a zombie, is to stay as calm as possible. Never just fire off your bullets like a mad person. Of course, there are times you’ll be scared as hell when a zombie ambushes you or attacks you from behind, but don’t let that take over the control from you.

Simply walking backwards creates space between you and the zombie. This is a way to buy some time for yourself. This way, you can take more time to calmly shoot the zombie in the head. Of course, it’s hard to write down one basic tactic here, cause this differs from what gun you are carrying. But lets say you have a pistol or the magnum.

Time is on your side

When I play ZP:S, I tend to sing the Rolling Stones’ Time is on your side song, and why? Because, in Zombie Panic: IT IS. Time is on the survivors side. So don’t feel rushed. That’s something very important to be able to headshot a zombie. Sometimes, a zombie moves around a lot. Making it harder for you to headshot him. Simply stay calm, time is on your side. Keep your crosshair at one position.

Never try to follow the zombie with your crosshair! You’ll always end up being one step behind!

Now simply wait for the moment to come that the zombie goes through your crosshair with its head. This will happen more than once, believe me. So don’t feel pressured to shoot right away when that happens. Now, it will recquire some training to be able to shoot at the right moment, but you’ll get a hang of it soon enough.

Predict

Also very important is to try and predict where the zombie will go. This way, you can put your crosshair on the point that you think he’s gonna be. You’ll learn that, the less predictable a zombie is, the harder it is for you to shoot it. But take for instance a zombie that moves sideways: left and right, left and right, on and on. Just aim somewhere in the middle and soon enough you’ll get a hit.
