Teamwork

Working together

In Zombie Panic you can really benefit from working together. An extra person with you can always be a life safer after all. But what is the best way to work together? And what are the dangers of staying in a group? We’ll answer these questions for you right here.

The why

You might ask: why would I help another human to stay alive? If I let him die, there will be more zombies to kill after all.
Very much true, but not only is that an egoistic tactic, it’s also dangerous. Keep in mind that, with every human that dies, there will be one less damage dealer. One less human to kill zombies, and help you and other humans to deplete the zombie lives.

But not only will you lose some extra help on the human side, no, you will also have to fight another pair of zombieclaws. Cause once a human dies, he will join the zombie team. So basicly, when a human dies, the human team will lose on two points: firepower, amount of zombie lives that are left (cause those will go up when a human dies).

So how to work together?

It is important that you share weapons and ammunition with your fellow survivors. This has multiple reasons.

First of all, sharing weapons and ammo increases the amount of people that can cover your back properly. And in the end, you can only use one weapon at a time. So you might as well give that person next to you a good gun too, to cover your ass when it’s needed.

Next to that, sharing stuff will make you less heavy. The more you have on you, the slower you become. Sharing keeps you light and fast.

The dangers of a group

Ofcourse, being in a group of people always brings certain dangers with it. What dangers? you might ask.

The biggest danger there is, is that someone in that room with you is infected. This means that he will become a zombie within a minute. Unfortunatly, there is no way to be sure that someone is infected, so you will always have to be on your guard. Is someone trying to stay behind you all the time? Or is someone being suspicious in any other way? Keep your eyes open!

In the last phase of infection, the person who is infected can actually be killed. But of course, you don’t want to waste any valuable ammo. So dont start shooting at him. After all, he might not actually be infected, and then you would have just thrown away a box of ammo. Or maybe that person is not in the last phase yet, and cannot be killed. Therefor, simply use a melee weapon to determine whether someone is infected or not.

Beside the danger of infection, there is also the danger of wasting too much ammo when you’re in a group. Let me explain this to you.

When a group of humans is encountered by a zombie, or maybe even a group of zombies, the humans tend to all start shooting. After all, there is no co-ordinating who will shoot and who won’t. Because of this, certain amounts of ammo are wasted by the overkill of shots that are being fired at the zombie(s). So try to co-ordinate who is shooting when, cause if you don’t; you might run out of ammo  a bit too soon.
In fact, I bet you’ve seen a lot of human groups fail in the past. The main reason for this is, that together they have wasted too much ammo, they ran out of it, they got rushed by the zombies and got killed.
