Work Alone

Skilled? Go alone

I can’t say this enough: only go solo when you have become skilled at playing Zombie Panic. If you still find it hard to headshot a zombie with the magnum, or if you still need an entire rifle magazine to take out a zombie, you should stay with other people. Else you will be a zombie brainburger in seconds.

How to do it

To counter the disadvantages that a group has, you might wanna go for a ’standalone’. The best reason to stay in a group is that you have greater firepower, but if you think you can kill quite some zombies on your own you might wanna go solo. This way, you won’t have to fear other people being infected. Although it is hard to fight on your own, it is definatly possible to hold out and win.

Choose your area

Pick good spaces to hold out for a small amount of time. Always go for open areas with a lot of light. Zombie spawns are very dangerous to individuals, since there is no one to cover your back.

Once you are in a postion, come up with an escape route, right away. Preferably more than one. Cause if hell breaks lose, you need to be able to get away, fast and clean. You don’t want to run into a deadend after all.

Pick your time

Also, you don’t always have to go solo. Sometimes, your simply not in the right situation to go on your own. Maybe you didn’t manage to get that magnum that you normally have. Or maybe you simply just don’t have your day. At those moments, it might be better so stay with other people. That hasn’t got to be a big group by the way. You can also choose to go with one or two other people. Simply cause it can increase your chances of survival at some times.

Stay on the move

Never give the zombies the chance to rush you. Cause in the end, big groups of zombies are especially deadly to those that go solo. Staying at one spot makes it easy for the zombies to communicate with eachother and say: ‘He’s there and there. Lets take him down together.’ Therefor, stay as much on the move as possible. This way, the zombies will become confused. First they heard you were here, now all of a sudden you are there. Like that, the zombies have a hard time finding you and it’s gonna be especially hard for them to form one group to take you down with. Zombies always spread out after all when they are looking for a survivor (it’s more efficient after all). But this spreading out is also something you benefit from. You can shoot them one by one like that.

Hint
This piece of info could come in real handy. Not just for people who wanna go solo, althought it is especially important for those that do go on their own.
It’s simple: never allow the zombies to group up. Always break up their meetings. You don’t wanna be rushed by a big group of zombies, simply cause it will be harder for you to take them all down, and also because it increases the chance of you taking a hit. Therefor, if you get the idea that the zombies are trying to group up, either walk away, or come out of your spot and shoot down the zombies that are waiting around the corner.
